An inspector needs to be familiar with soils,
foundations, stucture, plumbing, electrical,
roofing, HVAC equipment and appliances.
My personal career history includes 21 successful yrs in the
lumber, bldg materials and hardware business ; w/ hands-on experience,
dealing with professional home builders, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and HVAC contractors
and advising homeowers and do-it-yourselfers....experience that counts in home inspections.
When selecting a profesional home inspector, ask about their past work history . Choose one whose sole
endeavor is inspections. After 21 yrs @ Springtown Ace Hdw & Bldg Ctr (after a buy-out of the family-
business in 2000), I now only concentrate soley on home inspections - and truly enjoy it.
Outwest Home Inspections dedicates its philosophy based on a quality, informative and personal
approach. Homebuyers are encouraged to be present if possible during the inspection, which
generally takes 2-4 hrs, depending on the sq ft. of the house.
I'm a menber of the National Association of Home Inspectors and am affliated with
the Greater Lewsiville Association of Realtors and Texas Association of Realtors
(TAR). I'm equipped with an Electronic SupraKey for convience. I cover a large area of the
DFW Metro-Plex and work with many professsional area agents and realty companys.
State of the art inspection tools used during the inspection include thermo-tempguns,
voltage meters, moisture meters, laser levels, gas detectors and digital cameras.
Computer generated TREC inspection reports are e-mailed, faxed or done on-site
at the time of inspection.
